Well I am 22 weeks now and growing FAST! I'm finally wearing maternity clothes full time!!! I have to use a rubberband on all my regular jeans and I dont think I will even be able to do that much longer... I keep telling myself that this is either a girl or everyone is right when they say you show much faster with your second... I am carrying this one also a lot higher than I carried Gavyn if that means anything.
At my 22 week checkup the heartbeat was 144 and that was with the baby kicking like crazy, so I hope that is a sign that this is going to be a laid-back child- Lord knows I need one of those!! :) I was having a little off month I guess b/c I had gained 6 lbs in 1 month!!! GEEZ isn't that a lot for so early on... I so think I'm going to get huge with this one, which is weird because I would think chasing two little ones around would help in that dept. I mean if I'm going to gain 40lbs at least let me sit on the couch a little so I have an excuse!! LOL! One thing that is SOOOO different with this pregnancy is that my lower back, feet and legs ache so bad all the time!!!!! I dont remember feeling this miserable EVER with Gavyn, even when he was a week late!! Any mom out there have advice other than putting your feet up- that isn't a luxury i have!
I have, for the most part stopped the vomiting... occasionaly, if I have to clean up spit up or change a bad diaper, I will loose it but for the most part I feel good. Still nauseus really bad in the mornings, but at least I can keep my food down. Before I couldnt eat anything or I would be sick, now I have to eat every 2 hours or I will be sick :) isnt it funny how that changes...I guess this explains the 10lb weight gain in 2 months!!
Ok enough complaining for now... Lets talk about fun things!!! Like how the baby is kicking like madness!! You can even see it if I am laying down :) Gavyn loves to put his hand on my belly and feel the baby kick, he gets so excited! He still swears its a baby sister in there.. which I just cant help but smile so big every time he talks to it and says "Hi baby sister, I love you so much!" I dont know why he wants a sister so bad, but I think he will love whatever it is :) Now lets talk baby names....We are pretty set on Kendon if it is a boy but STILL no clue on a girls name- we are looking for something we haven't heard before and yet it has to be beautiful- well this is a lot harder than you think.... if anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them- who knows I might actually pick it!!
As you already know I have decided to be surprised this time around, but the closer we get the harder that is for me to not know because I love shopping for baby stuff and SO just want to shop all the time, at least I am saving a pretty peny by not knowing! Of course I have already all the boy stuff that im going to need, but i have nothing if it is a girl so that worries me a little bit-but im sure it will all work out!
