Girls trip to Colorado before baby #3 gets here!

I cant believe I have already been back 2 weeks!!! I went on a spur of the moment trip with my mom & sisters to Colorado and we had a blast!!! But it was lonest 7 days of my life seeing that it was the longest I have ever been away from my kids. I have only left them overnight at moms house before so this was a killer and although I enjoyed my self I was glad to come home to my family!!!
We drove up there on a Wednesday early morning and I cried at first because I was so already mssing my beautiful boys:( But then we started my favorite cheesy love story "A WALK TO REMEMBER" half way into the trip and that was such a good way to start our girls trip :)
As you can see from the picture, we rode in style and that just makes it so much easier on a 6 1/2 month pregnant lady! I litterally layed down in a bed in the back the whole 13 hr trip... I don't think I have relaxed that much since I was pregnant with Gavyn 3 years ago! It was nice :)
Here we are in Colorado, our 1st picture with the mountains in the background!
The 1st night we stayed in a hotel so my sister Deb could get up early and go look at a college in Boulder where she might attend school this fall. The campus was beautiful but I dont think I could handle cold weather year around :)
After some shopping and lunch we got back on the road heading to Downtown Denver where we stayed and spent the night and my aunt's condo. We had a blast that night as I think I have the 2 coolest aunts, the world's greatest mom, and the funnest sisters in the WORLD!!! We made homeade pizza and relaxed and talked, talked, talked.... my cousins came over and took my sister's downtown to hang out, but being miserably pregnant I decided to stay in the massage chair and have a cup of coffee with my momma :) It was so relaxing!!!
Here is my mom with my aunts:
Here is our YUMMY homeade pizza!!! I have to say it was probably one of the best pizza's I have ever had, and I helped make it :)

Then, it was off to Colorado Springs where we spent the rest of our beautiful time! It was so beautiful there, I would love to have a vacationing home in the mountains one day!!
Here we are in the "Garden of the Gods"
Here is the ultimate cabin in the mountains... It was a beautiful, peacful place to stay!! It's my Aunt & Uncle's getaway home and I think I need to take more advantage of it in the future... It was right in front of Pike's Peak on this steep mountain about 11,000 ft up and you could feel the Presence of God so strong up there in His creation that all you could do is be at peace and relax!!!!! Which is exactly what I did for the last 5 days we were there.
my mom and her sister & sis-n-law
We went exploring and that was awesome to see how beautiful nature is without being humanized.... Sometimes I wish we didnt have highways and stores on every corner and we did everything the old fashioned way... sometimes!
Anyway, here are some pics of us exploring.... some explored more than others :)
In that above pic, I almost fell right before the picture was snapped- that is why my butt is facing the camera :)hehe
This is the stream that runs through the mountains right by their cabin...
Taking a nap in a bear cave... always fun!
After exploring all day we relaxed in the hot tub outside overlooking the mountains.. can you get more relaxing people??!!!
Yeah you really cant see the mountains, but they were there I promose!
We ate, ate, ate and had lots of HOT drinks while we were there, and I only gained a 1lb!! Must be nice eating way up in the mountains all the time where you get fuller faster :)
All in all we had a fabulous time just eating and relaxing and that is a trip I will never forget and I made memories with my mom and sisters that I will always cherish!!!

Can't wait to go back to Colorado, but next time I will have to take my hubby and 3 kiddos because I missed them too much! :)
