Are we ready.....'

The other day I went to pick up my 5 year old from VBS and as we were walking out something grabbed his attention, and low and behold it was a little tiny newbie.....Gavyn grabbed me by the arm and said "mom, that's the kind of baby I pray God will give you! Can you go over there with me to look at the baby?" Still stunned at what my 5 year old just said out loud to me, I found myself taking him over to see this little bitty baby. As we were walking out of the church I'm thinking to myself, "that was so sweet how he wanted to go look at that baby and just stare at it..." Then he says again, " Mommy I'm praying you get pregnant with a baby and mom your not pregnant yet, but once you get pregnant I will have to wait a long time, like 6 weeks or something, so we really shouldn't wait very long." "WHAT, WHERE IS THIS KID COMING FROM!?? WHY DOES HE WANT ANOTHER BABY?!!" I literally found myself kind of taken back by this, but felt I had to say something to him, and this is all i could think about saying... "Gavyn if we had another baby you would have to be the biggest helper and change its diapers and feed it a bottle and dress and play with him/ or her. Mommy would need lots of help and you remember you prayed for it!" WHAT, who says that?! LOL!!! For the next hours I found myself laughing at my response to him and still in awe of his sweet desires! I do know why my 5 year old wants another baby brother and sister (which by the way, last night he said he wants both and is praying i have a boy and a girl! AHHH!!!) it is simply because my little Gavyn is such a lover and sweetheart and he just wants another sibling to love! Gavyn has always been so loving and gentle and sweet, and going to make the BEST husband one day! I'll never forget that little 2 year old looking up at me with his Big Blue Eyes, hand on my shoulder saying, " Mommy when I grow up, I want to marry you! Your so beautiful!" Melted my heart then, and still does today!!!!
I SO want my children to have the desires of their heart....
But how much more does Jesus want to give His little children the desires of their hearts.....!!!
"Lord, Are we ready...??!!!!"
