Joshua Ryan's Journey Cont....

Friday night I went to the hospital to spend sometime with Joshua, he was doing so well and it was looking like he would go home this weekend for sure. After his 6pm feeding, he started spitting up all his formula and his stomach got very distended! You could tell he was in a lot of pain and not feeling right. They immediately decided to get an X-ray of the abdomen- the X-ray showed a significant amount of gas, so they started prying and probing to get Joshua to try and pass it on his own. After a long 2 hours, they nurses told me that he would probably be OK that we just have to get him to pass the gas.

Well, Saturday morning when they checked his stomach he was distended more than the night before even after 6 poopy diapers & still in pain! So they decided to take some blood and run some more x-rays. Saturday afternoon around 2pm we got the blood work back showing that Joshua's blood plateletts were significantly low (they were 53 and should be over 100), also it showed that Joshua has an infection somewhere in the body. So, they stopped his feeds altogether, put a tube down his nose to pump his stomach, and started IV's and antibiotics immediately! He also had to have 2 blood platelett transfusions- to help raise his platelett count. They will check at 3am Sunday morning to see if he will need more. They took blood cultures and sent them to the lab to help pinpoint the infection. We won't get those results back until Monday, but once we do we will know more about where the infection is. The Dr. said that his best guess is that the infection is in the central line to the heart. If that is the case they can just pull that out and keep him on antibiotics for awhile, which should fight the infection. However, at this point they can't rule out the intestines :( This is where we need your prayer people! )We obviously don't want that- because it could mean a 4th surgery, and I just don't want him to have to go through all that again! :(

We need to pray that the infection is from and IV main line and not anything more serious! We also need his blood plateletts to go up.

Also, you could tell that Joshua is exhausted and tired of fighting. When they started probing and poking him (even with the IV put into the forehead) he didn't even move :( He is just tired and doesn't feel well at all, that he could care less about all the other stuff going on.

So I am sending this email because Joshua needs our prayers to fight for him! I believe we can stand in the gap for him when he needs a break and maybe just needs to rest! I know he has the Father just whispering in his ear, telling him to just rest in Him! You can feel the presence of God all around his bed and it is just amazing the PEACE I get when I hold him! I know he will be BETTER THAN OK!

Of course, it was hard to get this news yesterday because it does mean that we start all over again for the 4th time on feeds and weening him off the IV fluid. However, everything is in the Lord's hands and His perfect timing I KNOW! So, for whatever reason Joshua is not supposed to go home this weekend and needs to stay a little longer. I am just glad that this didn't happen at home, and that he was able to get immediate attention here. He is where he needs to be right now, and I do have a peace about that!

I know for many of us, the Lord has already worked miracles, changing hearts everywhere with the strong testimony of healing through Joshua! I KNOW without a shadow of doubt in my heart of hearts, that Joshua WILL BE a testimony of a COMPLETE Healing!!!! His name "Joshua" means "Bring Forth Salvation," and since we have named him that, and spoke that name over him- I believe that through his testimony he will see Salvation Brought forth!! We continue to believe this, and make that declaration over his life and his future!

So I don't know about all of you prayer warrior's but I think it is time for a COMPLETE HEALING in little Joshua, so that he can begin to be a testimony to these Dr.'s and nurses up here that Our Savior comes to Heal and set us free from our suffering! Amen!!!

My sister's wrote a song for Joshua that comes from Ezekiel, and I think it is perfect to pray over him- so I want to share it with you! This is just parts of the song, but it really is beautiful!

We ask that y'all please come in agreement with Michael & I praying for his little body to rest in the Father and let the Father breath His life into him, for He does have a significant purpose and strategic plan for Joshua's life- and through this- people will come to Salvation in Yeshua's Name!
