Joshua Ryan's Journey Cont....

Well, we got the PKU back this morning and his blood platelette level was still 53, which is very low so they had to give Joshua a 3rd blood platelette infusion. He seemed like he was doing better, and looked a lot better today; however, tonight they took another PKU and poor baby had to get poked 3x's just to get a good reading :( and those results came back with a level 35 count... The only explanation for this to be dropping even though he is recieving transfusions is because his body is getting sick from the infection. We are still waiting to get the Blood Culture back(sometime tomorrow hopefully). That will let us know where the infection is so they can know better where to treat. Tonight they will give him his 4th Transfusion at 55ml instead of the 30ml that he was given previously. We hope that by uping this dose it will make a significant difference!! However, our HOPE is only in the Father and not in man and we know that the Father can do anything! Amen!!!!
I will try and keep you posted- it is much harder to do now though because I practically live at the hospital.
Also, please keep Gavyn in your prayers too- he has gotten really sick this week with an upper respiratory infection and he has never been this sick before, so it is really hard to watch him be so miserable & yet leave him to go up to the hospital everyday. I hate it that both my boys are sick
